Nnamdi Umunnabuike is a community youth leader, a public policy strategist and a SamAmadi Leadership Fellow. As a rural development enthusiast and practitioner, he has been at the frontline of interventions in education and livelihood in his immediate community, Ohekelem in Ngor Okpala, Imo State of Nigeria.
He is a co-founder and the head of Strategic Partnerships for Colonny (www.colonny.app) , a company which deploys technology-based solution that connects community locally.
He is a Programmes Officer at Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Abuja Nigeria, a public policy think-tank and research institute that convenes a forum of scholars, public intellectuals, policy experts, development enthusiasts and generally, ideas men and women, committed to enable the production of the cutting-edge ideas and policies that reverse the grave decline in social and economic wellbeing in Africa.
He is an accountant at Federal University Otuoke and also doubles as the Community Manager of the University Sustainability Network.
He has been member of several boards of not-for-profit organisations in Nigeria, which includes; Enyemaka Initiatives for Development, Imo Youths in Agribusiness Forum, Queen Isabella Okafor Initiative, Ngor Okpala Development Initiative
He holds a Master’s in Development Practice from University of Ibadan. He also holds a B.Sc in Accounting.
As the Global Chair of SAAC, he mobilizes the MDP community to realise its full potentials and works assiduously with regional leaders to deepen the community of over 6000 alumni while opening up frontiers of engagement for MDP SAAC in the global development ecosystem.
